WELCOME SIMON REIMER

We are pleased to have Simon Reimer join SNJ as an Articling Student at Law. Simon obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba with a major in German and a minor in Classical Studies. He graduated with distinction in 2019 and was frequently a Dean’s Honour List student.

In 2017/18, Simon studied German and Politics at the Universität Greifswald in Germany under a scholarship from the DAAD (the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). In 2019, he served as a member of the Dean’s Search Committee for a departmental hiring for the Department of German and Slavic Studies as the undergraduate student representative.

In 2020, Simon was recognized as a Pitblado Scholar for his outstanding academic achievement in his first year as a law student. He was also one of the founders of the Robson Hall Bilingual Students’ Association, which he chaired until his departure from law school. He completed his Juris Doctor in 2022.

Throughout his university years, Simon has been deeply involved in music and the Franco-Manitoban community, frequently performing as a volunteer in Folklorama’s French-Canadian Pavilion. He has also represented Manitoba three times at the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championship, a national invitational contest.

In his free time, Simon loves to spend time with friends, play music, travel, and learn new hobbies. Most recently Simon obtained his private pilot’s license and has developed a love for woodworking.

Simon is pleased to offer services in German or French.
