SNJ Welcomes Alexandra Philippot

We are pleased to have Alexandra Philippot join SNJ as an Articling Student at Law. Alex obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) with a major in Psychology and a minor in French from the University of Manitoba, graduating with Distinction in 2018. Alex received a scholarship for being in the top 10% of students at the Faculty of Arts. She completed her Juris Doctor in 2021. In the summer of 2019, she attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and received a Travel Award for her academic performance. Throughout her time at law school, she was actively involved in the Manitoba Law Students’ Association, being a member of both the Accessibility and Academic Committee. She was also the President of the Robson Hall Mental Health Group, Vice-President Social Coordinator of the Manitoba Indigenous Law Students’ Association and the French Representative for the National Indigenous Law Students’ Association. Additionally, she has been a mentor with the Neechiwaken Indigenous Peer Mentor Program for 4 years. Alex was recently the recipient of the Indigenous Student Award of Excellence for Outstanding Achievement, and the Gerald W. Schwartz Gold Medal in Business Law for the graduating student in the faculty of Law who has achieved the highest standing in the area of business law. Alex enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, camping, hiking and yoga.
