Biography
Bob was born and raised in Steinbach.
In 1978 he became a partner, along with John Neufeld, in our predecessor firm.
Bob married his favourite nurse, Maggie. They now live in an empty nest. They have three children; Jennifer, Julia and Rob and six grandchildren; Liam, Teddy, Lewis, Tommy, Margo and Vera. The grandsons all play hockey.
Bob received a Bachelor of Arts degree (with a major in History) from the University of Manitoba in 1969. He received a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1973 (Juris Doctor degree in 2014) and was called to the Bar in 1974.
Throughout his life, he has been extremely active in community affairs. Bob served as a Councillor for the City of Steinbach and has served on numerous boards, both as a member and as a chairperson.
His passion is sports. He coached baseball, ringette, and hockey for many years. He also served as the manager of the Eastman AAA Midget Selects for two years. He recently sat on the board of the Steinbach Pistons Manitoba Junior A Hockey Team. He has also been involved with various City of Steinbach advisory committees, including the multiplex project. He enjoys golf, bike riding, and he is a big fan of the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Bob retired on March 31, 2026. He now proudly holds the title of full-time Grandpa.
