Biography
Paul grew up in and continues to live close to Blumenort, Manitoba. After graduating high school at the Steinbach Christian School in 2014, Paul entered university at the University of Manitoba.
In 2017, Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in history and a minor in political studies. While in the Faculty of Arts, he received several academic awards, including awards for top achievement in courses such as British History and History of Eastern Christianity.
Paul began his studies at the Robson Hall Faculty of Law in 2017. In law school, he was consistently included on the Dean’s Honour List for receiving a grade point average within the top ten percent of law students for each year of law school. He also received awards for the highest mark in the Trust Law, Agency and Partnership Law, and Legal Profession and Professional Responsibility courses. Paul also received the Jane Evans, Q.C. Prize for having the highest cumulative average in the Property Law, Trust Law, and Wills and Succession Law courses. During Paul’s third year of law school, he clerked for the Manitoba Court of Appeal.
During the summer months of university, Paul worked in several different jobs, including as a labourer on a poultry farm and as a student assistant with the federal government.
In 2020, Paul graduated with his Juris Doctor degree, and completed his articling at Smith Neufeld Jodoin LLP. In 2021, Paul received his Call to the Manitoba Bar.
Paul enjoys fishing, collecting antiquarian books, following politics and volunteering with the local church he attends.
