Biography

Grant has lifelong roots in southeastern Manitoba, having been raised on a family dairy farm just outside of Grunthal. After some time in Winnipeg during and shortly after university he returned to his home community, and lives in Grunthal, with his wife, Allison, son Liam, and daughters Avery and Sawyer.

He entered law school after a number of years in the agriculture faculty. He received a number of awards in university. After graduation he articled and practiced with a firm in Winnipeg, before moving back to southeastern Manitoba.

Grant has supported and volunteered with many local community organizations, including: hockey and baseball programs; Elim Mennonite Church and related projects; the Grunthal Menno Home for the Aged; Providence University College and Seminary; and the occasional local political activity.
