Samuel grew up on an acreage near Carberry, Manitoba. Before returning to school, Samuel worked in the construction industry as a sheet metal worker.
Samuel studied accounting at the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in 2014. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honour society for the top 10% of business students. While in business school, Samuel was a member of the JDC West debate team and placed first in the 2012 JDC West Competition.
While in law school, Samuel was the President of the Business Law Group and he received an award for the highest average in Wills and Succession, Trust Law, and Taxation of Trusts and Estates

Samuel’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, tax, wills and estate planning, and real estate law.
Samuel currently lives outside of La Broquerie with his family. When he’s not chauffeuring his children around, he enjoys cooking, woodworking, and trying to catch fish. He also likes working with his hands and trying new things.
