Cassandra J. Bueckert Associate

BACKGROUND

Cassandra grew up near Grunthal, Manitoba and continues to reside on a small acreage in the area. Throughout her studies, she worked locally as a property and agricultural insurance specialist and then joined SNJ in 2021 as a summer student.

EDUCATION

Cassandra obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from the University of Manitoba in 2018. In the summer of 2015, she attended the Université Sainte-Anne in Church Point, Nova Scotia earning her a Travel Award for her academic performance.

Cassandra commenced her legal studies at the University of North Dakota School of Law, where she was recognized for having a grade point average within the top 10% of her class. She then transferred her studies to the University of Manitoba, Robson Hall Faculty of Law, where she completed her Juris Doctor in 2022.

Cassandra has always been passionate about supporting the community, making her an active member in various student organizations. She served as the Vice-President of the Environmental Law Group and VP of Communications for the Business Law Group. Synchronously, she worked as a student intern with the Public Interest Law Centre (Legal Aid Manitoba) and served as a Law Coordinator with CanU where she mentored youth in Grades 5-12 and facilitated training on advocacy and negotiation.

Cassandra is also active in the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce as a member of the Business Development Committee, which works to promote and support growth and development of business in the community.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

While dedicated to learning the law, Cassandra cherishes her time outside of the office with the ones she loves most. Having grown up near Grunthal, MB, spending as much time outdoors as she can walking, hiking, and going on off-roading adventures with her husband and their dog brings her great joy.
